Intelligent Systems and Architecture Laboratory (ISALAB), Soongsil University
ISALAB studies intelligent system architectures for efficient data processing. Modern computing systems are increasingly bottlenecked by data: large volumes of application data exceed the storage, communication, and computation capabilities of today’s machines. We develop system- and architecture-level techniques to improve performance, cost efficiency, and security across the memory, storage, and I/O stack for data-intensive and AI workloads.
Memory & Storage System Optimization: Optimizing the memory–storage–I/O stack for better performance, cost efficiency, and security.
In-Storage Computing for AI Workloads: Offloading key AI primitives to storage systems to improve performance and energy efficiency by minimizing data movement.
